Hemaview Analysis
The microscopic examination of living blood cells enables us to evaluate parameters unavailable to other forms of haematology (blood testing). The hemaview has been shown to have a sensitivity equal to standard medical tests, unlike standard blood tests however, the results are available immediately.
More importantly, many of the parameters assessed by the hemaview indicate pathological changes that occur much earlier in the processes of disease than those available through standard tests. Variations in the white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets, as well as parasitic, bacterial and yeast forms, can all be observed by the hemaview microscope.
Hemaview can reveal:
- The fluidity of the red blood cells - clumping or 'rouleaux' may be early indicators of inflammation (the first sign of any disease) or heart disease
- The presence of anaemia - this may indicate iron, vitamin B 12 or folic acid deficiencies
- Blood fat levels - specifically high cholesterol levels, deficiency of vitamin E or essential fatty acids
- Immune function - the size and activity of white blood cells
- Oxidant or free radical damage - visible in red blood cell membranes
- Evidence of the presence of parasites, bacterial or viral infections
- The presence of food allergies
- The state of the liver : toxic overload, levels of functioning and early stages of any liver problems
- Whether the body is dehydrated
- The potential for blood clotting - whether the blood is excessively 'sticky'
Functional Laboratory Assessment/ Specialised Health Appraisal, Nutritional, and Metabolic Screening Questionnaires:
Recognizing the uniqueness of each individuals body chemistry and metabolism, we make our prescriptions for health based on individual assessments. In this interest, we have established a panel of functional lab tests to assist us in pinpointing your specific health concerns.
We use a wide variety of questionnaires, surveys and written assessment procedures which will allow us to develop a more comprehensive understanding of your condition and your actual needs; and only when needed, we will draw upon data from blood, urine, saliva and hair assessments, in order to assess your needs and monitor your progress.
